The book that started it all for us - though now mired in controversy. Greg Mortenson has built more than 50 schools in the wild and dangerous tribal regions of northern Pakistan - an incredible achievement. The book is seriously inspiring - though it now appears it may have been slightly embellished. We'd still recommend the book - though it's difficult to exaggerate how disappointed we were when we discovered that Greg may have lost his way a little.
